A Bit About Us
GRACE (Greater Roslyn Association for Chinese Enrichment) is a not-for-profit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to serve and support the Chinese American families in Roslyn. We strive to promote cultural awareness and improve diversity inclusion within the community. By facilitating our constituent's involvement through education and community service we aim to enhance the lives of Chinese families and the communities around us. The organization serves as a liaison between the township, the school district and Chinese families to assimilate and empower the broader Roslyn community.
We strive to provide timely information and updates so that all are aware of community events and initiatives. Collectively we will also offer events and programs to enrich the lives of our families. Enhancing the overall involvement of the wonderful families in our community we can create a better future for all of us. Just imagine what we can achieve together!

Derek Chan
President
I was born and raised in NY. I have been a Roslyn resident since 2015. I am in financial services and work primarily in the Chinese market for 23 years. I am actively involved in several Chinese non profit organizations (CPC, Tzu-Chi, CMP) and Flushing BID.
Gary Li
Vice President
I was born and raised in China and came to the U.S. to attend graduate school. My family and I moved to Roslyn in 2014. I work in the pharmaceutical industry. As a conscious member and parent of the community, I regularly attend the school district BOE and village/township meetings.
John Lee
Treasurer
I was born in Shanghai and grew up in Buffalo, NY. I am currently an Human Resources executive and has been in the HR profession for more than 20 years. My family and I moved to Roslyn in 2009 and is currently serving on the board of Life’s WORC, a nonprofit organization supporting individuals with autism.
Vicky Chau
Treasurer
I have been a resident in Roslyn since 1991. I work at Northwell Health system as Program Director managing clinical I.T. projects. I am also a member of Northwell’s Asian Business Employee Resource Group. In my free time I enjoy traveling, cooking and live music.
Tess Lu
Public Relation
I have been a resident of Roslyn for 15 years. I am a musician and a certified mental health first-aid counselor. I work on both medical and mental health field. I am also a member of the Asian American Advisory Board, which is a bridge between the Nassau county and the Asian community in Long island. I am also the president of the Chinese Giving Circle, which supports musical and performing arts.
Karen Gao
Fundraising
I was born in Shanghai and grew up in Flushing, NY. I became a Roslyn resident in 2015. I work as a corporate marketing director specific in the expansion of the Chinese Market in the financial services industry. I have two boys (8, 5) who currently attend Harbor Hill and Heights.
Ann Chu
IT/Tech Support
I was born and raised in Taiwan. I have been living in Roslyn for 10 years. I am a stay-home-mom with two daughters (7th & 9th graders) who are currently attending Roslyn Middle School and Hight School. I am highly involved in the middle school and high school PFA multicultural committees.
Lisa Li
Secretary
I lived in Roslyn Heights since July 2019. I’m currently part-time working in the field of CMG Resident application program and Diagnostic company especially for Chinese patients. I used to work in Pharmaceutics R&D, marketing in HK, Korea & Beijing before. I have two kids (10yr Boy, 5yr Girl) in East Hills School and Heights School.
