A Bit About Us
GRACE (Greater Roslyn Association for Chinese Enrichment) is a not-for-profit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to serve and support the Chinese American families in Roslyn. We strive to promote cultural awareness and improve diversity inclusion within the community. By facilitating our constituent's involvement through education and community service we aim to enhance the lives of Chinese families and the communities around us. The organization serves as a liaison between the township, the school district and Chinese families to assimilate and empower the broader Roslyn community.
We strive to provide timely information and updates so that all are aware of community events and initiatives. Collectively we will also offer events and programs to enrich the lives of our families. Enhancing the overall involvement of the wonderful families in our community we can create a better future for all of us. Just imagine what we can achieve together!
2024 GRACE Board Members
Derek Chan
Board of Directors
Derek was born and raised in NY. He have been a Roslyn resident since 2015. He is in financial services and work primaryily in the Chinese market for 23 years. Derek is actively involved in several Chinese non profit organizations (CPC, Tzu-Chi, CMP) and Flushing BID.
Jason Lew
President
Jason was born and raised in Flushing, NY and has been living in Roslyn since 2022. He became part of GRACE to actively advocate for the Chinese American Community in Roslyn, aiming to improve representation in our schools and fostering unity among Chinese families in Roslyn. He is also a small business owner.
Catherine Zhang
Vice President
Catherine is a successful real estate agent with over seven years of experience in the industry. She was born in China, moved to Roslyn district in 2023. Outside of her professional endeavors, Catherine has always been involved in community service and is now focused on contributing to her new Roslyn community. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring new destinations.
Vicky Chau
Co-Treasure
Vicky has been a resident in Roslyn since 1991. She works at Northwell Health system as Program Director managing clinical I.T. projects. She is also a member of Northwell’s Asian Business Employee Resource Group. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking and live music.
Wei Lee
Co-Treasure
Wei became a resident of Roslyn in 2015 with his wife and two children. He is a Senior Portfolio Manager at a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) based out of Garden City. He is actively involved in community service with his company and joined GRACE to achieve goals of fostering strong relationships in the community.
Vicki Meng
Public Relation
Vicki is a licensed pharmacist and pharmacy owner. Born in Beijing, she moved to Roslyn in 2022. Vicki is a mother of three, with two boys and a daughter, all attending East Hills Elementary and Roslyn Middle School. Outside of her professional life, Vicki has a passion for travel and is an avid foodie, always eager to explore new cultures and cuisines. Through her work and community involvement, Vicki is committed to providing quality care to her customers and fostering connections in her new Roslyn community.
Karen Gao
Events & Communications
Karen was born in Shanghai and grew up in Flushing, NY. She became a Roslyn resident in 2015. She works as a corporate marketing director specific in the expansion of the Chinese Market in the financial services industry. She have two boys (8, 5) who currently attend Harbor Hill and Heights.
Vanessa Zhang
Secretary
Vanessa was born in Shanghai, China and immigrated to the US in 2006. She became a Roslyn resident in 2020 after living in Flushing, NY. Currently serving as Vice President at JP Morgan Chase, Vanessa brings over 18 years of experience in the financial industry. She and her husband, Chris, a small business owner, have two children: a 7-year-old daughter and a 1.5-year-old son. Recently, Vanessa joined GRACE as Secretary, with the primary goal of enriching the lives of Chinese American families in Roslyn.
